The text volume contains an extended essay by Tony Hayter on G.E.M.Skues and the nymph, an excerpt from The Fly Fishers Journal describing a club debate in 1938 on nymph fishing in chalk streams and Skues nymphs and other fly dressings by Overfield. Timothy Benn provided introductory remarks and Kenneth Robson the preface. The fly volume contains 20 flies tied by Jim Nice with an appreciation of Jim Nice by Tony Griffiths.

small folio, 35 thick card pages each side (7) filled with tipped in letters and fishing related printed ephemera photos etc. Bound in full black leather title to spine "Fishing 1897". The album assembled by Lord Keith of Inverurie and Keith Hall, (12 August 1852 - 3 March 1930). The letters are all to or from him in many cases double sided or more in a clear legible hand, and neatly tipped into the album. Many relating to the Thames Restocking Assoc of which he is the president and some of Thames's fishing interest. There are also printed rules of the association, reports, annual dinner menus etc. Also letters on headed paper from the Kingston Piscatorial Society, (Lord Inveruire was president of the society). Many of the letters are from Frederick Amphlett, (author of 2 Thames Angling books) and editor of The Thames News. Some pages of the news have been tipped in including the front page of volume 1 number 1, which has an article by Lord Inveruire on Thames Trouting also printed various ephemera of the society. There are also related newspaper cuttings from the fishing gazette throughout the album. Other area mentioned is Lord Inverurie estate in Scotland at Keth Hall relating to restocking the river Urie River Don, many of the fish for restocking the Thames and his estate come from Manor Fishery, Caistor, Lincs, various letters are present from the fishery. There is communication between his lordship with R.B.Marston editor of the fishing gazette and author. A printed broadside inviting his lordship for a donation to fund a panoramic model of the river Thames from and signed by Marston. Letters asking and excepting fishing excursions in various are his lordship appears to be well connected! Overall, a great deal of material present and further research needed

This copy has been interleaved with an extra 70 plates added includes portraits, also plates by Howlett, Barlow, plates and music from an earlier edition of the complete angler occasionally 2 to 3 per page, some browning to frontis, and the first few pages, small chips to lower corner margin of 1/2 title, bound in Circa 1870, 1/2 green morroco with raised bands and gilt ruled frames to the spine compartments, spine evenly faded. Collation as Coigney 19 copy A but pages trimmed, the 3 Coigney copies are untrimmed hence size 8 1/4" x 10 5/8". Westwood notes this edition as very rare because a great part of Bagster's stock had been lost in a warehouse fire. In this quarto edition the typeset is different with more words per line and fewer lines per page than the octavo edition proving that this is a different edition and not merely a larger paper edition.
