x 516 pages, TEG, frontis illus + plate of portraits of the five Walton biographies + 12 plates + 2 plates of music and 3 plates of tackle and flies, text engravings of fish to contents. This copy has been interleaved with an extra 70 plates added includes portraits, also plates by Howlett, Barlow, plates and music from an earlier edition of the complete angler occasionally 2 to 3 per page, some browning to frontis, and the first few pages, small chips to lower corner margin of 1/2 title, bound in Circa 1870, 1/2 green morroco with raised bands and gilt ruled frames to the spine compartments, spine evenly faded. Collation as Coigney 19 copy A but pages trimmed, the 3 Coigney copies are untrimmed hence size 8 1/4" x 10 5/8". Westwood notes this edition as very rare because a great part of Bagster's stock had been lost in a warehouse fire. In this quarto edition the typeset is different with more words per line and fewer lines per page than the octavo edition proving that this is a different edition and not merely a larger paper edition.
