Original 1/2 leather with gilt title to upper cover, "Fortification Notes R.M.A. R Millett". Leather damaged in places with loss again by insect, binding tight presumably the student was R.M.Millett with his pencil signature to top of title page. COPAC locates 1 copy in the UK at the British Library. The author details "On the arms in use, on military explosives, detonating powder etc" The manuscript relates mostly to fortification.
