85 pages, privately printed, 4to., Printed by the Chief of Staff of HM Mediterranean Fleet for officers of the fleet, notes on the various game available, how and where to find it, the areas covered are Western Mediterranean, Adriatic and West Coast of Greece, the Aegean Eastern Mediterranean Sea of Marmora and Black Sea. The notes cover small game and big game including Ibex, wild pig, wild goats etc. partridge, quail, dove, the areas giving notes on town, station, game likely to be encountered, comments and what bags made or have been obtained i.e. Kavala "In September the local people organised a pig drive at which one pig was killed, no information as to whether it is any good to cook. Imbros "Best day 195 partridges and 15 various for 8 guns in the Valley of the Ridge. First published Circa 1926, this copy with circular stamp for the Commanding Officer HMS London 6 February 1930, note written beneath "compedia dated 7 Feb 1930 inserted". This appears to be pre publication for a revised edition with typed sheets or slips placed between relevant pages i.e. "page 15 cancel present notes and substitute" then follows a typed page in this case detailing licences, big game, pigsticking, similar inserts throughout, occasional ink notes to text, cloth index tabs to some pages. Retained in the original cloth backed paper covered boards, title to upper board, some surface rubbing. A rare item 1 copy listed on COPAC 1926 edition giving Malta as the place of publication.
