Summary: viii 326 (10pp) pages, 2 engraved plates of fish, the lower blank margin of the title page chipped with small loss, some old dust soiling to title page, plates and last advert page, neat contemporary numbers in ink to margin of table relating to the page number, also to the page "Name of the Fish". The last page is an advertisement for "Will Brown, who Maketh all Sorts of Fishing Rods" etc, with the Errata below, to top blank margin a contemporary ink name Edward Chaffers. The book recently bound in a full old-style calf, red title label, "Chetham takes rank among one of the original writers of the sport, he is indebted indeed to his forerunners but acknowledges it". The 1st edition was published anonymously, in the second edition, Chetham is acknowledged on the last page of the preface "J. A. Chetham Smedley near Manchester". Westwood Satchell 59/60
