Bookplate to the front paste down , a fine copy in DJ, with the blue card slipcase rubbing to corners and split to one edge of the slipcase. The collection of arms and armour at Waddesdon Manor was largely formed by Miss Alice de Rothschild under the guidance of Sir Guy Laking, comprises over 200 pieces of all types. Covering the period from late 15 to the early 19th century. Finely decorated swords, daggers, firearms and powder-flasks of the 16th and 17 centuries. Included is a catalogue of 16th and 17th century cutlery and miscellaneous base-metalwork in the collection.
