Chipping to the paper of the very outer blank margin edge of the index page, and to the outer blank margin edge of the first plate. The plates are clean and free of foxing. Recently recased retaining the original end papers in the publishers green pebbled cloth with gilt vignette to upper cover of a falconer carrying 4 falcons on a cadge, gilt title to the spine within decorative borders. The cloth clean and the gilt bright, overall, a vg copy of what Harting describes as "The best modern book in English on the art and practice of falconry".
