Bound in the original dark blue cloth with giraffe head and title in gilt to upper board. Gilt title and native vignette to spine. A very good + copy of a title often found in poor condition the text block is heavy and often pulls away from the binding. Cotton's hunting trip to East Africa for sport hunting all the major species also to prove the existence of the five horned giraffe, which he eventually bagged. There was also an edition where the upper title and illustrations was in black to the upper board and the top edge not gilt. Czech 226
