xi -211 pages, 20 pp of adverts some very occasional spotting to the contents. Publishers red cloth with gilt lion head to the upper board a vg+ copy in the original cloth. Lakeman's account of the Kaffir War. Lakeman assembled his own volunteer unit, known as the Waterkloof Rangers, having to buy rifles, uniforms, and equipment. There is little hunting in the book but an excellent insight to the area.
