This copy numbered 147 of a limitation of 550 copies, bound in the publishers two tone cloth with gilt title to the upper cover. Rubbing to the head of spine and chipping to the bottom of the spine, few faint marks to the spine edge. The book covers the natural history, habits, habitat, and shooting of game birds. Schwerdt notes "A fine publication, one of the few modern shooting books which has considerably risen in value probably on account of the plates after Thorburn, printed by Albert Frisch of Berlin which are exceptionally beautiful.
