October 1912 to September 1911 - 342 pages + 4-page index Bound with the original front and rear paper covers some with binding puncture holes to very outer blank margin. To top edge or each of the front covers written in ink "Marked Copy" (presumably the publishers copy) numerous ink margin notes and occasionally across the text noting payment for articles and photographs, sometimes identifying the writer of the articles etc. Many Gilbertson & Page loose advert flyers bound in, includes traps, equipment prices, general breeding info, guns etc. The contents clean and tight, bound in a contemporary plain green cloth some old marking and some wear to edges in places the binding tight. An important periodical on gamekeeping giving an insight to the heyday of game shooting prior to the first world war. Each issue has a brief profile of a keeper, articles on keepering, poaching, "hints for the month", rearing, driving, guns, dogs etc. Illustrated throughout, from photographs and drawings, also a variety of related adverts many illustrated.
