Bound in a contemporary 1/2 green calf, gilt title and blind stamp decorations to spine compartments, some light rubbing to edges. Few books on South Africa matters have been subject of such fierce denunciation and bitter criticism as these volumes. the author proceeded to South Africa in the service of the London Missionary Society in 1819 and soon became the most drastic censor on the methods pursued towards the natives by the colonists.
