Armorial bookplate to the front paste down, publishers green bind stamped cloth with central gilt hunting vignette to the upper cover, rebacked with the original spine relayed the spine with gilt title between gilt decorative border and gilt vignette of a standing native. Baker travelled extensively in Ceylon and describes the natural history, villages, peoples, agriculture. Includes a chapter on elephant hunting, he also notes leopard shooting and details the hunting of wild boar and elk. Baker also comments on his high regard for his ten bore rifles. Czech 19/20
